Getting warmer: a field trial of heat pumps

A field trial was undertaken by the Energy Saving Trust in the UK to determine the key factors which impact the performance of domestic-scale heat pumps in-situ.

The trial included technical parameters (such as system sizing and installation) and customer feedback & behaviour.
Instead of revealing outcomes along statistical grounds, or acting as a “brand-vs-brand” competition, the field trial findings provide a discussion of key points of interest to potential consumers.
The findings provide valuable information about the factors that affect the success of a domestic heat pump installation.
Some interesting reading.
